Health Gorilla uses AWS to aggregate and enrich clinical data for health systems in underserved markets, providing critical insights to deliver high-quality, cost-efficient care. Founded in 2014, Health Gorilla partners across the healthcare ecosystem, including providers, developers, and labs, to implement secure interoperability solutions. Health Gorilla uses more than 150 Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances, hosting 10 TB of clinical data on AWS. Ali Zaman, vice president of marketing at Health Gorilla, spoke at the 2019 AWS Healthcare & Life Sciences Cloud Symposium about the company’s efforts in Puerto Rico to bring health systems, federally qualified health centers, and primary care clinics into an interoperable data network.
