As an Executive Government Advisor, Jayson works with state and local government executives and agency leaders to identify modern technology solutions to longstanding challenges in governmental operations. Jayson’s areas of focus and expertise are city and county government, public safety, cybersecurity, and performance management.

Prior to joining Amazon Web Services (AWS), Jayson served in local government for over 20 years. Most recently he was the Chief Information Officer for the City of Cincinnati and IT Director for Hamilton County, Ohio. During his tenures Jayson had executive responsibility for several city and countywide enterprise technology programs, including IT governance, capital and operating budget approval, PMO, service desk, 911 and emergency communications, cybersecurity, network and infrastructure support, Geographic Information System (GIS), and business applications.

Jayson also worked closely with city and county leadership, coordinating intergovernmental collaboration efforts between the city, the county, and the state. He also served as a Special Assistant to the City Manager during a major public safety crisis, receiving a proclamation from the Mayor and City Council for his service. Jayson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Business degree from Franklin University. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and an Emergency Number Professional (ENP).

Jayson lives in Florida with his with his wife of 22 years and their two children. He loves sports, writing, and spending time with family and friends.
