Nordstrom is a Seattle-based fashion retailer that sells clothing, shoes, cosmetics, and accessories. In addition to running its websites, mobile application, and other internal tools on AWS, the company built a new recommendations engine leveraging AWS Lambda to process customer requests. Nordstrom is going all in on AWS and as a result, the company can reduce costs, improve its customer experience, and develop new features without having the need to provision new on-premises IT infrastructure.
