You can now query for prices of AWS Services using the AWS Price List API. You can also subscribe to an SNS topic and receive notifications when AWS prices update. For example, when new instance types are launched, when services are introduced in new regions or when new services are introduced you will get an SNS notification. AWS Price List API makes prices available in two formats, JSON and CSV.
For e.g. API URLs to query for Amazon RDS prices:
https://pricing.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/offers/v1.0/aws/AmazonRDS/current/index.json or https://pricing.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/offers/v1.0/aws/AmazonRDS/current/index.csv.

To receive updates on changes to the prices lists or when new services are supported, subscribe to the SNS topic: arn:aws:sns:us-east-1:278350005181:price-list-api.
In 2016, we will enhance the API to query for specific prices. For e.g. by instance type, region.
