Starting today, you can track your Amazon RDS for Db2 bring your own license (BYOL) usage with AWS License Manager. AWS License Manager provides you better control and visibility of your licenses to help you limit licensing overages and reduce the risk of non-compliance and misreporting.

RDS for Db2 integrates with AWS License Manager to make it easier to monitor the usage of IBM Db2 licenses across RDS instances at no additional cost. Once the license configuration is associated with an RDS instance, AWS License Manager will automatically start tracking usage. In addition, you can configure AWS License Manager to automatically upload reports of your Db2 license usage to an S3 bucket you specify. If you do not have an existing license configuration in AWS License Manager, you can create it from the AWS License Manager console.

Amazon RDS for Db2 makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale Db2 Databases in the cloud. See the Amazon RDS for Db2 Pricing page for complete regional availability information. Visit the AWS License Manager web page, documentation, and frequently asked questions to learn more.
