French gaming company, 3DDuo, builds multiplayer, online role-playing games that are highly expensive to run. Seeking a cost-effective hosting environment, the gaming company moved to AWS to take advantage of the scalability and availability of the AWS Cloud. As a result, 3DDuo lowered the cost of hosting games from €7,000 to €2,000 per month and was easily able to scale to handle 300,000 gamers for its first social game on Facebook.
