FlashGrid, a third-party provider of storage software solutions, has developed a solution that allows customers to run Oracle RAC on AWS using AWS-native components, such as Amazon EC2, Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS), and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC).

FlashGrid Storage Fabric software establishes shared storage access via standard iSCSI protocol implemented in Linux kernel.  As the system vendor, Amazon supports Amazon EBS for iSCSI accessed storage.

For more information on this solution, please read FlashGrid's whitepaper, Mission-Critical Databases in the Cloud: Oracle RAC on Amazon EC2 Enabled by FlashGrid® Software. For details about the FlashGrid software capabilities, please see the FlashGrid website at www.flashgrid.io or email them at info@flashgrid.io
