AWS Public Safety & Disaster Response Competency Expands to Include Technology Partners

AWS helps first responders, public safety agencies, and emergency and disaster response organizations complete their mission and mitigate impact to communities affected by emergencies and disasters. In 2019, we announced the launch of the AWS Public Safety & Disaster Response Competency for AWS Consulting Partners. Now, we are excited to launch an additional track within this AWS Competency that showcases specialized and dedicated AWS Technology Partners.

VMware Cloud on AWS is Now Available to Purchase Through AWS and APN Partners

Customer momentum for VMware Cloud on AWS continues to accelerate with AWS and VMware delivering major new capabilities every month. With a new purchase agreement in place, customers can now buy VMware Cloud on AWS directly through AWS and APN Partners in the AWS Solution Provider Program. Through our partnership, customers can use additional services like Amazon RDS for VMware, AWS Outposts for VMware, and new Amazon EC2 R5 Instance types.

VMware Cloud on AWS Continues to Gain Momentum with Enterprises

It has been almost one year since we announced VMware Cloud on AWS availability at VMworld 2017. Adoption of VMware Cloud on AWS is accelerating in the enterprise as customers are able to migrate, run, and protect production workloads at scale to deliver business outcomes. For example, an online gaming company was able to migrate 600 game development VMs seamlessly to the cloud without disrupting the business or changing their policies and internal procedures.
