Working with AWS SaaS Factory, Exasol launched their analytics database through a SaaS model and navigated technical and business decisions for launch and beyond. In this Q&A, Peter Jackson, Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Exasol, shares insights on their journey and advice for organizations who are in the process of building SaaS on AWS.

AWS and IBM recently announced that IBM Cloud Pak for Data, a unified platform for data and AI, has been made available on AWS Marketplace. By running on Red Hat OpenShift and being integrated with AWS services, the platform simplifies data access, automates data discovery and curation, and safeguards sensitive information by automating policy enforcement for all users in your organization.

To meet the challenge of simplifying data protection for hybrid environments, Cohesity introduced Data Management as a Service (DMaaS), powered by AWS. Cohesity’s DMaaS portfolio encompasses multiple as-a-service offerings, including Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) which is available in AWS Marketplace as Cohesity DataProtect. The service is presented via Cohesity’s globally available web interface, so for protecting workloads not running in AWS customers do not even need to have an AWS account.
