In many retail environments, SAP Hybris Commerce is deployed into production in what could best be described as a traditional way. Some organizations have opted to migrate SAP Hybris Commerce to the cloud, but have done so through “lift and shift” methods. Piksel Retail, a Piksel Group company, created the Digital Commerce Channel (DC2) to address these challenges. DC2 is their SAP Hybris-based e-commerce solution, deployed on AWS. Despite advances in music-sharing technology, touring and live shows remain staples for emerging artists. To answer this question, Vertical Trail partnered with Gigable to create a music platform and app that uses curated playlists, geo-based concert discovery, and online ticketing to close the gap between artists and their fans—all while building a formidable big data asset.

H2O is an open source data machine learning platform that provides a flexible, user-friendly tool to help data scientists and machine learning practitioners. It was created by H2O.ai, an APN Advanced Partner with the AWS Machine Learning Competency. In this post, we look at setting up an H2O cluster, import data from Amazon S3, create an AWS Lambda deployment package from the model, and finally deploy a RESTful endpoint. Following these steps, you can migrate your H2O Flows to AWS in about 10 minutes.

The AWS Competency Program welcomed 22 new APN Partners in June—spanning workload, solution, and industry designations. The AWS Competency Program helps customers identify and choose top APN Partners that have demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success in specialized solution areas. This validation gives customers complete confidence in choosing APN Partner solutions from the tens of thousands in the AWS Partner Network.

If you’re an AWS customer and have worked with an APN Partner, reviewing your engagements provides AWS with key insights we use to monitor and improve the quality of APN Programs. AWS customers are encouraged to leave reviews on APN Partner engagements that have been launched for more than two (2) weeks. This gives your organization some time to adjust to the new solution or workload delivered by the APN Partner, resulting in a more detailed, thorough review.

We are excited to release a major update to the SAP HANA on AWS Quick Start that supports Multi-AZ, single-node configurations with high availability. The SAP HANA on AWS Quick Start helps you deploy fully functional SAP HANA systems on the AWS Cloud, following best practices from AWS and SAP. The Multi-AZ option uses two Availability Zones for the SAP HANA environment on AWS and provisions two SAP HANA servers—primary and secondary—in separate, private subnets and configures them for high availability.

We strongly encourage APN Partners to register for AWS Training and Certification through APN Partner Central so those achievements count towards your APN tier requirements. By registering through APN Partner Central, your organization receives credit toward APN tier eligibility and compliance requirements. Employees should make sure all registrations are made using their corporate email address. To register, log in to APN Partner Central and access the Training portal via the link at the top of the home page.

We are excited to introduce the APN Customer Engagements (ACE) Program to help APN Partners drive successful customer engagements on AWS. While our APN Opportunity Management Program has been available to APN Partners since September of 2017, the new ACE Program makes Standard-tier and above APN Partners eligible to receive engagements from AWS. We provide APN Partners with resources, tools, sales, and technical support to help drive successful engagements with AWS customers.
