AWS at the 2020 NAB show [Updated 3/12/2020]

Due to the NAB Show 2020 cancellation, Amazon Web Services will host two online events in the coming weeks to showcase our planned content for the exhibition:

NAB News & Updates Online Event – On April 20, AWS will host an online event to spotlight updates planned for the NAB Show.

AWS M&E Online Conference – On May 28, AWS will deliver a comprehensive online conference that puts planned content for the show in a virtual context with sessions, tracks, and demonstrations to explore.

At the 2020 NAB Show, AWS will showcase the media industry’s broadest and deepest cloud platform and a suite of services purpose-built for every step in the media supply chain, from asset creation through content distribution. Together with its global community of partners and professional services teams, AWS will spotlight an unmatched, end-to-end array of workflows and solutions that help media and entertainment organizations build more innovative offerings, advance the quality of their content, and increase the agility and efficiency of their operations.

AWS on the NAB Show Floor

Content Creation

Creative studios need technology that enables them to keep pace with increasing demand in a competitive marketplace. At NAB Show, AWS will highlight studio in the cloud workflows that give customers immediate access to a cloud-based infrastructure and content pipeline. Virtual workstations and powerful tools for editing, rendering, and visual effects will be on display, along with new solutions built with AWS Thinkbox services and Amazon Machine Learning tools.

Content Distribution

Broadcast leaders are choosing to build the future of television on AWS, deploying live linear video workflows on the AWS Cloud and unifying traditional broadcast and direct-to-consumer distribution. AWS will showcase transport and distribution workflows that lower latency and increase efficiency as well as Statmux for AWS Elemental MediaLive technology to enable end-to-end broadcast workflows in the cloud. Other innovations on display include new live streaming technologies, serverless channel playout, and advances in video quality.

Media Supply Chain

Digital Asset Management and supply chain solutions support collaboration and augment the value of content. At NAB, AWS will bring together a broad selection of media solutions and partner technologies to help enrich and monetize video offerings and gain efficiencies across the content pipeline. Demonstrations include Accelerated Transcoding applications for advanced codecs, broadcast workflows with integrated content syndication, and the Media Services Application Mapper solution.

AI and Machine Learning

Artificial intelligence and machine learning services create efficiencies across video workflows and unlock new and differentiated audience experiences. AWS will demonstrate AI/ML-powered workflows at NAB to deliver personalized content and create paths to monetization. Demos include solutions to streamline compliance, brand safety, and ad insertion, as well as metadata extraction and speech-to-text captions.

AWS Theater

The AWS Theater offers NAB attendees a line up of immersive industry sessions led by AWS industry experts, partners, and customers. Visitors can choose from presentations centered around content creation and distribution, media supply chain, and practical uses cases for AI and machine learning. AWS Spotlight Labs & Workshops

AWS will host a series of hands-on training labs and workshops at NAB. Developers and engineers of all levels are encouraged to attend, including those who may be new to AWS Media and AI/ML services. Attendees can reserve space at no cost as part of NAB registration. Check out the agenda.
