Developers and engineers of all levels are encouraged to attend, including those with limited or no experience using media and AI/ML services from AWS.

Live Streaming with AWS Elemental MediaLive, AWS Elemental MediaStore, and Amazon CloudFront
8:30 AM – 9:45 AM

Learn how to create an MediaStore container, a CloudFront distribution using that container as its origin, and configure a MediaLive channel using the MediaStore container endpoints as its destination.

Use AWS AI Services to Automate Captioning & Subtitling
10:00 AM – 11:15 AM

In this lab, walk through prototyping a video workflow with machine learning (ML) services from AWS. The workflow will automatically generate captions, alternate language subtitles, and alternate language audio tracks using Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Translate, and Amazon Polly.

Convert an input video into different output formats, and use additional functionality to combine multiple video inputs into one output (input stitching), add captions, and insert images.

Monitoring a Live Channel with Amazon CloudWatch
1:45 PM – 3:00 PM

Learn how to monitor the status and health of video workflows. Create notifications based on MediaLive alerts and channel status changes. Create metrics to measure inputs and outputs in MediaLive and MediaPackage. Build a dashboard to view those metrics and manipulate the workflow and observe the results in CloudWatch.
