Register to experience the AWS Summit Online – Americas on August 24-26, 2021

Registration is now open for the AWS Summit Online – Americas, happening August 24-26, 2021.

The event brings the cloud community together from across the Americas to hear keynotes from industry leaders, dive deep into educational sessions, engage in workshops, and chat with Amazon Web Services (AWS) experts. Whether you are just getting started on the cloud or are an advanced cloud user, come and learn something new at the AWS Summit Online – Americas. There will be sessions available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French-Canadian.

The main events, including the keynote, public sector fireside chat, and breakout sessions, will take place on Wednesday, August 25. The keynote will feature Tim Tomlinson, chief product officer at Blackboard. A pre-day Innovation Day on Tuesday, August 24 caters to leaders looking for ideas on how to use technology to capture new business opportunities, accelerate growth and rethink what’s possible in cloud solutions. Experiential Zones and jam sessions will extend a day after the main event through Thursday, August 26.

Discover what’s new in the public sector

Max Peterson, vice president of AWS worldwide public sector, will host a fireside chat with public sector customers to discuss recovery and digital transformation across education and healthcare in the Americas following the COVID-19 pandemic. During the chat, speakers will share how they’re leveraging the cloud to further drive their missions, highlight key learnings from the past year, and weigh in on the latest industry trends. Featured speakers include: Simon Bates, associate provost at University of British Columbia (UBC); Venkat Jegadeesan, chief technology officer (CTO) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC); and Monica Ospina, director at Colombian Institute Educational Assessment and Evaluation (ICFES). Check out 200+ breakout sessions across four languages

The AWS Summit Online – Americas will feature more than 200 breakout sessions focusing on technical topics such as security, machine learning (ML), and data and analytics, with customer stories around migration, digital transformation, and more. Each breakout session is 35 minutes or less, with half of the content available as a simulcast until noon PT, and the remaining sessions become available on-demand in the afternoon. Participants can tailor their agenda based on their needs with the flexibility of on-demand sessions. There are breakout sessions featuring public sector customer stories from Amtrak, MDRC, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and British Columbia, and more.

Experience our AWS Zones

Beyond keynotes and breakouts, you can chat with AWS experts or self-serve to learn more in our AWS Zones. These zones will be delivered in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Start with the basics in the Getting Started Zone, where you can get help signing up for an AWS account and then get started using that account. There will be several foundational resources provided; plus, you can chat one on one with experts. If you’re ready to dive deeper into AWS, check out the Training and Certification Zone. There, you can watch available training and educational courses, participate in hands-on labs, and get access to skills training programs, collateral, and resources cloud skill levels ranging from beginners to technically advanced.

Test out your ML skills in the AWS DeepRacer Virtual League. You can compete for prizes, meet fellow ML enthusiasts in the racing league, and chat one on one with AWS experts on ML. League participants will race for a chance to advance to the Championship Cup. Learn more about AWS DeepRacer.
