In this blog post, learn how to establish best-practice hybrid connectivity within a Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS) Medium Cloud reference architecture. Amazon Web Services consulted with the CCCS, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) and Shared Services Canada (SSC) to build the CCCS Medium Cloud Reference Architecture. This opinionated and prescriptive architecture can help reduce the time and effort required to implement CCCS Cloud Medium controls from 90+ days to 2 days.

At the end of 2019, el Servicio Nacional del Aprendiza (SENA) in Colombia graduated 160 students after completing AWS Educate Cloud Career Pathways to build their IT and cloud technology skills. This was the first group of students to graduate after Colombia’s President Iván Duque Márquez and Jeff Kratz, General Manager AWS Public Sector Latin America, Caribbean and Canada, announced a strategic partnership with SENA to train 10,000 students throughout Colombia in IT and cloud technology.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a consortium of Bay Area community colleges along with their K12 and California State University partners, launched a regional initiative to prepare students for jobs in one of the fastest-growing, and highest-paying, areas in the technology field: cloud computing.
