Vanessa Santos joined the AWS User Group São Paulo in 2017. Starting from a non-traditional technical background, she became recognized as an AWS Community Leader in 2019, achieving new learnings and practices through the AWS re:Invent We Power Tech Grant.
Passionate about technology, Vanessa believes people can continuously learn and still be curious for more. She strives to invent and simplify ways to empower people to “fulfill a human purpose,” using tech skills to support their own communities, enabling ways to think bigger than ever, and creating impact as catalysts.
Vanessa works with local and international AWS User Groups as an AWS UG São Paulo co-organizer, with female and black tech communities, as an MBA Lecturer, and as council volunteer for Brazilian health tech. She has also worked at Brazilian AWS Consulting Partners, shifting roles as she expanded her tech skills, gathering certifications and supporting individual and company certification in multiple AWS Competencies. She currently works on the Global Segment Marketing team at Equinix.
