| Support for Archiving Data to Amazon Glacier |
Amazon S3 now provides a storage option that uses the low-cost Amazon Glacier
storage service for data archival. Although the data is stored in Amazon Glacier,
you continue to manage your objects from Amazon S3. To archive objects, you define a timeline that indicates when you want Amazon S3 to archive the objects. You can easily set the rules from the Amazon S3 management console, the Amazon S3 API, or the AWS SDKs. For more information, see Object Lifecycle Management. |
