New Features

Feature Description
Oracle Database support on Amazon RDS You can now create a Oracle Database DB instance using the AWS::RDS::DBInstance type. For more information about the AWS::RDS::DBInstance type and Oracle Database DB Instances, see AWS::RDS::DBInstance and Oracle Database DB Instance Snippet.
Weighted Round Robin and Zone Apex Support for Amazon Route 53 You can now use the AWS::Route53::RecordSetGroup type to set up weighted resource record sets (weighted round robin). You can also use the AWS::Route53::RecordSetGroup type to map the zone apex of your domain directly to an Elastic Load Balancing LoadBalancer. For more information, see AWS::Route53::RecordSetGroup Type, AWS::Route53::RecordSet, Using RecordSetGroup to Set Up Weighted Resource Record Sets Snippet, and Using RecordSetGroup to Set Up an Alias Resource Record Set Snippet.
ListStackResources and DescribeStackResource Using the cfn-list-stack-resources command line tool or the ListStackResources API, you can now list all resources for a specified stack. With the cfn-describe-stack-resource command line tool or the DescribeStackResource API, you can view the details of a resource including its evaluated Metadata attribute. To use cfn-list-stack-resources or cfn-describe-stack-resource, you will need to upgrade your command line tools to the latest version. For more information, see Getting the command line tools, cfn-list-stack-resources, ListStackResources API, cfn-describe-stack-resource, and DescribeStackResource API.
Elastic Load Balancing LoadBalancer Source Security Groups You can now specify an Elastic Load Balancing LoadBalancer as a source security group using the GetAtt intrinsic function. The GetAtt function now enables you to get the SourceSecurityGroup.GroupName and SourceSecurityGroup.OwnerAlias properties of an LoadBalancer resource. For more information, see Fn::GetAtt, and Amazon EC2 Security Group Resource with LoadBalancer Ingress Rule Snippet.
