Feature Description
Support for Hadoop 0.20.205 Amazon Elastic MapReduce now supports Hadoop version 0.20.205.
Support for Pig 0.9.1 Amazon Elastic MapReduce now supports Pig version 0.9.1.
Support for AMI versioning You can now specify which version of the Amazon Elastic MapReduce AMI to use to launch your job flow. All Amazon EC2 instances in the job flow will be initialized with the AMI version that you specify. For more information about the configuration and software available on each AMI, as well as information about how to use AMI versioning, go to Specifying the Amazon Elastic MapReduce AMI Version in the Amazon Elastic MapReduce Developer Guide.
Support for running Amazon Elastic MapReduce job flows on Amazon Virtual Private Cloud You can now launch Amazon Elastic MapReduce job flows inside of your Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) for greater control over network configuration and access.
