Many customers are focused on building cost-optimized solutions as they expand on AWS to grow their success. In recognizing that every customer can be in a different phase of their cloud adoption, it’s important to understand the following use cases: expanding from on-premises data centers to AWS; shifting away from on-premises to AWS; and starting out on AWS to serve users globally. Baffle Data Protection Services (DPS) provides a data-centric protection layer allowing customers to tokenize, encrypt, and mask data in Amazon RDS at the column or row level, without any application code modifications while supporting a BYOK or HYOK model. The APN is the global partner program for AWS and helps tens of thousands of organizations across the world build, market, and sell their AWS-based offerings.

AWS customers regularly use the “Find an AWS Partner” tool to discover organizations that can help them design, migrate, manage, and optimize workloads on Amazon Web Services. With a refreshed discovery experience, it’s even easier to find AWS Partners with validated qualifications for a variety of use cases. The new experience is also available in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish, and customers can search for AWS Partners by industry, use case, services, and solution offerings.

Follow along as Agilisium provides an early look at Amazon Redshift’s ra3.4xlarge instance type (RA3). This post details the result of various tests comparing the performance and cost for the RA3 and DS2 instance types. It will help AWS customers make an informed decision on choosing the instance type best suited to their data storage and compute needs. As a result of choosing the appropriate instance, your applications can perform better while also optimizing costs.

Customers often need to rely on third-party solutions to extract and transform data from sources such as Slack and Zendesk. Some vendors, however, do not support all of the sources and rely on multiple products to perform ETL and persist data into Snowflake. This post details how Amazon AppFlow simplifies the data transfer process, and how customers can use AWS PrivateLink for transmitting data over AWS rather than via the public internet.

The AWS SaaS Factory team had the chance to work with Ridgeline, a privately funded fintech startup determined to modernize investment management software, and help build their purpose-built enterprise platform on AWS.
