The AWS Competency program validates and promotes AWS Partners with demonstrated technical expertise and proven customer success. Attaining a Competency helps partners market and differentiate their business to customers by showcasing their capabilities in specialized areas. To get there, it’s important AWS Partners have a list of best practices and recommendations. Learn how partners can achieve and make the most out of the AWS Competency program through four key steps.
For ePlus Technology, AWS GameDay was a golden opportunity for teams looking to transform their skills with AWS. We are excited to introduce new AWS GameDay partner benefits for AWS Partners in several of our differentiation programs. AWS GameDay League is made up of teams from global partner companies who compete against each other in hands-on technical challenges to build new cloud skills capabilities and have fun while doing so. AWS GameDay Quests Development Kit (QDK) gives partners the ability to integrate their products with real-world scenarios to be leveraged as repeatable, lead-generating events with customers.

AWS GameDay is a learning exercise designed to familiarize players with an AWS environment, and challenge them to come up with ways to solve problems based on the AWS resources they have available. GameDay has been a showcase event for APN Partners and customers in the Americas, but we wanted to provide this immersive experience to folks working in India as well. At Cognizant’s event, teams used AWS services to track down the absconding CEO of a fictitious unicorn rental company.
This is the second post in our series documenting a project to fix issues with the GameDay architecture by using tenets of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. We cover the steps it took to fix the critical findings identified by the review team. As noted in Part 1 of the series, the review team delivered a list of critical findings we needed to prioritize, as well as a list of non-critical ideas that we should consider in our roadmap.
AWS GameDay is an immersive, team-based event we have hosted at AWS Summits and re:Invent over the past few years. The event has teams of players settling into a challenging—and hopefully entertaining—scenario as DevOps leads at Unicorn.Rentals, a popular startup minutes away from the very public launch of a widely anticipated product.
