The Amazon RDS Ready Program makes it easy for AWS customers to find products and solutions that integrate with Amazon RDS database engines including Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle Database, and SQL Server. Amazon RDS Ready Partners provide tooling for Amazon RDS adoption in areas like migration, performance, governance, and monitoring. They also support the use of the Amazon RDS platform as a back-end for applications deployed within a customer’s AWS account.

The Amazon Linux 2 Ready program, part of the AWS Service Ready Program, makes it easy for AWS customers to find solutions that follow AWS best practices for integrating with Amazon Linux 2. These trusted APN Technology Partners offer customers Amazon Linux 2-supported products, including monitoring agents, databases, application servers, and beyond. Their applications go through rigorous testing by AWS Partner Solutions Architects to ensure customers have a consistent experience using the software.

Before making a purchasing decision, AWS customers tell us they want to know if a tool or application will integrate with AWS services running in their cloud environment. To meet this need for customers, we are excited to introduce AWS Service Ready. This program identifies and validates products from APN Technology Partners that integrate with specific AWS services, and recommends these products to customers.

At Tableau Conference 2018, we announced a new AWS Quick Start: Tableau Server on AWS for Healthcare. This lets customers quickly deploy Tableau Server on AWS in a manner that is preconfigured with common security and compliance controls, such as encryption at-rest and in-transit, and support their compliance objectives out of the box. The Quick Start comes with a jointly authored security controls reference describing how different parts of the HIPAA Security and Privacy Rules apply to AWS and Tableau.

We are excited to add Linux support to our AWS Quick Start for Tableau Server on AWS. This Quick Start automatically deploys Tableau Server in a standalone or cluster environment on the AWS cloud, and now you can deploy on Linux in addition to Microsoft WindowServer. With this update, customers now have the ability to deploy on Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) running two different flavors of Linux.

Edmunds began moving data to the AWS cloud shortly before deciding to use software from Tableau for data visualization and analysis.
