Desktop and Application Streaming

Workshops for Amazon AppStream 2.0 and Amazon WorkSpaces updated

The End User Compute on AWS workshops have been updated. These workshops are hands-on labs to teach or introduce practical skills, techniques, or concepts to help you solve business problems.

In getting started with Amazon AppStream 2.0, you learn how to deploy and stream desktop applications with Amazon AppStream 2.0. Amazon AppStream 2.0 is a fully managed, secure, application and desktop streaming service.

In getting started with Amazon AppStream 2.0 Elastic fleets, learn to stream applications to your end users from an AWS managed pool of streaming instances. With Elastic fleets, you do not have to predict usage, create and manage scaling policies, or create an image.

In getting started with Amazon WorkSpaces, learn how to deploy cloud desktops using Amazon WorkSpaces and AWS Microsoft Managed AD. Amazon WorkSpaces is a fully managed persistent cloud desktop for Windows and Linux.

The workshops are available for you to run in your own account. You do not need prior AWS experience. An AWS CloudFormation template is available on the AWS samples GitHub for AppStream 2.0, AppStream 2.0 Elastic fleets, and WorkSpaces. These templates deploy the networking prerequisites, allowing you to focus on the end user compute technology. You may incur AWS costs when running this workshop in your own account. Visit the Amazon AppStream 2.0 Pricing and Amazon WorkSpaces Pricing for more information.

If you have feedback, issues, or questions on the workshop, use the feedback link in the workshop.
