It is essential for election campaigns and committees to have access to the latest security services so they can mitigate risks against security threats at minimal cost. To support this, AWS is collaborating with Defending Digital Campaigns (DDC) to offer more than 20 cybersecurity-related AWS services for low-to-no cost to all active and registered national party committees and federal candidate committees for the US House and US Senate midterm elections that are eligible in accordance with DDC and Federal Election Commission (FEC) criteria.

SibsForever is a nonprofit created to support and provide a safe community for people who have lived through the loss of a sibling. SibsForever.org is a progressive web application that runs on AWS and functions as an online memory book for surviving siblings. Japan’s High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK), is a Nobel Award-winning Inter-University Research Institute, and one of the world’s leading accelerator research institutes. To further help researchers understand human biology, AWS and KEK recently announced a collaboration to develop GoToCloud, a KEK-led cloud platform that makes protein analysis faster and more cost-effective, boosting KEK’s research efforts and improving our understanding of disease. This initiative has also accelerated the digital transformation of Japan’s scientific research infrastructure, helping scientists discover new medicines and produce world-class research results using cloud technology.

Nara Space Technology is a South Korea-based startup that builds nano satellite constellations and provides satellite data services to let customers quickly identify and address issues like changing climate conditions and disaster recovery to improve life on Earth. Nara Space provides solutions for nano satellite and small spacecraft system design, integration, development, and testing; enables satellite data analytics based on deep learning; and improves the visual quality of standard satellite imagery with its Super Resolution core technology. To do this, Nara Space uses AWS for secure, flexible, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.

With the launch of the new AWS Middle East (UAE) Region, AWS is releasing an Economic Impact Study that estimates that the new infrastructure region will support an average of 5,984 full-time jobs annually in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) over the next 15 years through investments of AED 20.1 billion (US $5 billion).
