He previously worked at Accenture Strategy, advising clients across retail, automotive, and travel industries on growth and digital transformation strategies. Jimmy then worked as a Strategy and Business Development Director at UMP Healthcare (China) where he led the business operations of the company's telemedicine platform. Jimmy received his Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Global Management at The University of Hong Kong.
Kevin Law, Director of Business Development at Coindesk Indices, is based in Hong Kong to drive the growth initiatives in the APAC region. He is eager to play a pivotal role in redefining the #TradFi and #web3 industries, with a specific focus on fostering institutional adoptions. Matthew Zi Jin Lee, MsC Financial Technology from HKUST, is the founder and CEO of Fill Easy, a startup dedicated to making government data easier to use. He possesses first-hand financial and compliance experience from his previous roles in both Audit and Insurance, and from his experiences working in those fields, understands keenly the disruption that new technology and data brings to the financial industry and beyond. Matthew is passionate about Fintech, Govtech and Open Data, and acts as a mentor in programs such as “Strive and Rise” for youths interested in exploring these fields.
Mark is a former startup founder, community builder, and author of Community-in-a-Box. He is currently the Global Startup Advocate at AWS, advising founders and technical teams on how startups successfully build, grow, and scale faster on AWS.
Previously, Mark worked at Stack Overflow to launch their Enterprise SaaS platform, then led efforts to expand the business across APAC. Before that, he founded an HR technology startup in the workforce analytics space, angel invested in B2B SaaS tech companies, and worked for a diverse group of leading enterprise technology companies.

Dean comes from an IT infrastructure background and has extensive experience in infrastructure virtualization and automation. He has been with AWS for the past ten years and has had the opportunity to work with businesses of all sizes and industries. Dean is committed to helping customers design, implement, and optimize their application environments for the public cloud to allow them to become more innovative, agile, and secure.
Robert Wang serves as Managing Director for Amazon Web Services in Hong Kong and Taiwan, leading the strategic planning, business development, and operations across the two markets. With more than two decades of experience in the Information and Communication Technologies industry, Robert has developed a deep and seasoned technical expertise at leading multinational corporations.
Outside of his role with AWS, Robert holds a number of voluntary industry positions, serving as an executive committee member of the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA), an advisory committee member of Digital Nation & Innovative Economic Development Program (DIGI+), and a committee member for the National Development Fund’s Startup Angel Program.
Angus Fong is a senior full-stack Machine Learning engineer at Goodnotes, currently leading cross-functional projects to develop AI-assisted handwriting features and novel LLM-based chat interfaces. Before joining Goodnotes, Angus was an SRE in Google Cloud Platform at Seattle. He is passionate in building AI features in production, with experience in Python, Swift, PyTorch, and various MLOps tooling.
Jing Shi has 20 years of experience in venturecapital and private equity buyout, with a focus on investment execution andportfolio management. In his earlier career, he worked as a strategy consultantand was an entrepreneur who created a number of startups. He specialises in deep tech, TMT, consumer, and industrials in the APAC region, especially in Greater China, SEA and Japan.
Kevin leads the GTM team for the Kubernetes portfolio of services at AWS, where he is responsible for defining overall GTM strategy and supporting successful customer adoption of Kubernetes on AWS. Prior to AWS Kevin, founded a cloud consultancy in Seattle call Mesh Studio, which helped customers adopt containers services on AWS.
Teddy is currently the Chief Executive Officer of HKAI LAB, which is focused on advancing the frontiers of AI with cutting-edge technologies and expertis, and empowering startups to develop and commercialize their AI inventions and technologies. Simultaneously he is Chief Business Development Officer of Alibaba Entrepreneurs Funds, and responsible for investment program and portfolio management of over 70 investee companies. He also curated several influential startup programs included JUMPSTARTER and HKAI Lab.
Prior to his current role, Teddy was the General Manger of Taobao & Tmall oversea, and General Manger of Alipay International in HK & Macau, where he was responsible for company’s strategic development, investment, business expansion and partnership. His first role with the Alibaba Group was the Business Development Lead of Albaba.com in Asia Pacific.
With a vision to build a SmartRetail ecosystem that entails Computer Vision and Business Intelligence, Patrick Tu, started the Hong Kong-based AI startup right after he graduated. His SaaS product, Cyclops, helps offline retailers acquire and analyse data for the future planning and performance evaluation with the help of artificial intelligence.
Mr. Albert Wong is leading HKSTP on a mission to support tech startups and enterprises on their journey for innovation and growth. He and his team are focusing on nurturing talent, entrepreneurship, connections and commercialising R&D into successful innovation with impact. As CEO of HKSTP since 2016, he has led his team growing HKSTP into Hong Kong’s home for unicorns and the city’s largest R&D hub with over 12,000 research professionals and 1,200 tech companies
Albert has 30-plus years of commercial, industrial and leadership experience through roles with various multinationals that have provided him with deep China and Asia-Pacific insight, plus critical understanding of building companies and investment networks, and solving market needs. Prior to HKSTP, he spent 15 years in total with GE at its US headquarters, Asia-Pacific and China. He served as CEO, GE Oil & Gas China, as well as CEO, GE Industrial Solutions Asia Pacific – where he was responsible for M&A, Business Development, Product Management and Business Operations. Prior to GE, he held management and engineering roles at PerkinElmer, Emerson, Caterpillar and Schlumberger.
Albert holds an Engineering Degree from the University of Hong Kong and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Outside of work he is an avid runner regularly takes part in marathons around the world.
Dr. Kyle Wong is the CEO and Co-founder of PanopticAI, an award-winning startup at the forefront of camera-based health and wellness solutions, revolutionizing how we measure, monitor, and manage our health. Under his leadership, the company has secured backing from Alibaba Hong Kong Entrepreneurs Fund, Gobi Partners GBA, HKUST and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, the flagship technology hub in Hong Kong. Kyle completed his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from HKUST and is a recipient of the prestigious Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme. His research on AI-enabled camera-based methods for remote health monitoring has been published in leading academic journals. Driven by his passion for digital healthcare technology, Kyle is committed to disrupting traditional healthcare systems and creating more accessible solutions that assist in the socioeconomic development of the world.
Jeffrey Wong is the Co-Founder of Space Tutor, an EdTech company that combines artificial intelligence with the expertise of foreign teachers to provide accessible, personalized online English learning solutions for children aged 6 to 12.
