AWS recently launched a new version of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and updates to the AWS Well-Architected Tool. The new changes were made in response to industry trends, as well as feedback from customers and AWS Well-Architected Partners. This post provides a brief overview of what’s new and is intended for AWS Well-Architected Partners, members of the AWS Partner Network (APN) who are new to AWS Well-Architected, or AWS Cloud customers.

To receive the AWS Competency designation, APN Partners must undergo rigorous technical validation and assessment of the security, performance, and reliability of their AWS solutions. To help APN Consulting Partners better understand this process and our validation requirements, we are releasing new versions of the AWS Competency Validation Checklists. The checklists highlighted in this post are for APN Consulting Partners.

To receive the AWS Service Delivery designation, organizations must undergo rigorous technical validation. They are also assessed on the security, performance, and reliability of their AWS solutions. To help APN Consulting Partners better understand this process and our validation requirements, we are releasing new versions of the AWS Service Delivery Validation Checklists. These outline for the customer case study and technical criteria needed to achieve the AWS Service Delivery designation.

The APN Navigate specialization track for Database Services enables APN Partners to build a practice around AWS Database Services such as Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon Aurora. AWS offers the broadest selection of purpose-built databases for all your application needs. Upon completing the APN Navigate for Database Services specialization track, APN Partners are eligible for a free Data Modernization Workshop.

Customers seeking to solve a business or technical problem on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud can now identify a consulting offer and engage with an AWS Competency Partner that has proven expertise solving that specific problem. AWS Solutions Consulting Offers give customers access to vetted architecture without requiring the in-house capacity to deploy, integrate, and in some cases manage the architecture themselves.
