The AWS Competency Program provides customers with highlighted APN Partners that have demonstrated technical proficiency through an AWS Technical Validation and proven customer success in specialized solution areas. AWS Solution Space allows AWS Competency Partners to showcase customer-ready solutions based on architectures validated by AWS. These are quick, cost effective, repeatable solutions meant to create new business leading to production workloads. Customers can also request AWS support for launching each solution. At launch, we are featuring 10 customer-ready solutions: 5 for Big Data, 3 for Machine Learning, one for Security, and one for End User Computing.

At AWS re:Invent 2017, we introduced the AWS Serverless Application Repository that enables AWS customers to easily discover, deploy, and publish serverless apps for data processing, stream processing, Internet of Things (IoT) device data telemetry, and more. The Splunk AWS Serverless Applications are available from the AWS Lambda console and allow customers to ingest TBs of data into Splunk. Check out the Splunk serverless apps that are open-sourced to dive deeper, including the underlying AWS SAM template.

As a leader in enterprise cloud data management, Informatica accelerates AWS data management for data warehouse modernization, data lakes, data migration, and data cataloging. Informatica is an AWS Advanced Technology Partner and holds the AWS Big Data Competency. Informatica’s Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) Quick Start deploys the artificial intelligence-powered data catalog on the AWS Cloud and enables organizations to discover and catalog assets from data sources across the enterprise.

We see many AWS Partners doing great things and innovating on the AWS Cloud. Veeam is bringing backup technology to the cloud; IOpipe helps you get better insight into your AWS Lambda functions; and Narrative Science uses machine learning to generate auto reports from your big data. These are just a few of the innovations being driven by members of the AWS Partner Network (APN), the global partner program for AWS that is focused on helping you build a successful AWS-based business.

Cadence Design Systems, Inc. selected Dome9 Security, an APN Advanced Technology Partner, to provide network security management and automated compliance. The Dome9 Arc platform has a deep visualization tool, Dome9 Clarity, which provides a granular view of customers’ AWS Cloud assets. Dome9’s efforts provide Cadence with many benefits, including lower costs and accelerated time-to-market for products.

The Center for Advanced Defense Studies (C4ADS) is a nonprofit organization based in Washington D.C. that provides data-driven analysis and evidence-based reporting on global conflict and transnational security issues. Because their analysts must comb through extensive records from different sources, it became increasingly difficult to make use of all the data. ClearScale, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, implemented a large data lake on AWS to make the data more user-friendly for C4ADS analysts.

Ixia’s CloudLens has a serverless architecture that scales with distributed software systems built for cloud scale, which delivers intelligent, resilient, and proactive cloud visibility.

We are excited to announce a new eLearning course for healthcare and life sciences (HCLS) compliance in the cloud. Developed in cooperation with Intel, this self-paced digital training consists of four modules that introduce the fundamentals of cloud computing under HCLS compliance regimes such as HIPAA, GxP, and international data privacy requirements. Each module takes roughly 20 minutes to complete and are available to APN Partners and AWS customers.
