The inaugural AWS Startup Showcase is a virtual AWS Loft-style event we’re hosting in partnership with theCUBE. AWS has empowered entrepreneurs across the world with the tools they need to build and scale their companies faster and cost effectively. Since launching in 2019, the APN Global Startup Program has continued to experience significant momentum. This year, we increased the number of startups supported by the program by more than 50 percent. Startups have received dedicated support from co-sell specialists to drive engagement with AWS Sales and field teams.
AWS is building a partner community that is the most customer-centric in the world and creates long-term success for AWS and our committed partners. One of the ways we do this is by focusing our investments on independent software vendors (ISVs) that extend the reach of the AWS Cloud and provide our customers with more choice. These trusted AWS Partners provide feature-rich experiences on AWS to support customers’ enterprise IT needs.
We are excited to highlight 42 APN Partners that received new designations in January for our global AWS Competency, AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP), and AWS Service Delivery programs. These designations span workload, solution, and industry, and help AWS customers identify top APN Partners that can deliver on core business objectives. APN Partners are focused on your success, helping customers take full advantage of the business benefits AWS has to offer.
The annual Global Partner Summit was held Dec. 2-6 at AWS re:Invent 2019, and we are excited to introduce the APN’s new program launches and key initiatives for 2020. Global Partner Summit helps APN Partners to leverage AWS technologies and learn how the APN program can help companies build, market, and sell their AWS-based offerings. This post will showcase the new APN programs that partners can take advantage of today, including AWS Service Ready and the APN Global Startup Program.
Mid- to late-stage startups need to move at a fast pace in order to compete with much larger companies. To help businesses build, market, and sell faster with AWS, we developed the APN Global Startup Program. This program is invite-only and helps startups become enterprise-ready with prescriptive benefits, simplified paths to meeting foundational requirements for the AWS Partner Network, and a robust set of resources to help startups accelerate their growth.
We are thrilled to be in Las Vegas for AWS re:Invent 2019 and our annual Global Partner Summit, meeting and connecting with APN Partners from around the world. This year’s conference provides APN Partners with great opportunities to connect, collaborate, and discover. APN Partners will be busy all week attending breakout sessions, chalk talks, and hands-on trainings to learn how the APN program can help their business build, market, and sell their AWS-based offerings.
Getting visibility with customers is critical to the success of any startup. With AWS, startups can build awareness and increase visibility through events, co-sponsored online and offline campaigns, case studies, and more. Startups can also drive new business and accelerate sales cycles through co-selling with AWS. And they can connect with opportunities at AWS customers, and better serve shared customers through collaboration with the AWS account team and access to PoC credits.
While market adoption of machine learning varies across industry segments, healthcare and life sciences have lots of opportunity to explore. Pharmaceutical and biotech industries, specifically, have low utilization of the large volumes of data they collect and store for regulatory purposes. Aizon is an AWS Partner that offers a number of ML solutions to enhance utilization and management of such data in a way that adheres to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the cloud.
