Using services like Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), a managed service for running Kubernetes on AWS, Miro can quickly deploy and scale its AI features, relying on expert support and flexible security provisioning from AWS.

Miro helps distributed teams of all sizes collaborate and use the solution to lead engaging workshops and meetings, design products, brainstorm ideas, and more. “Miro is redefining how teams that bring new products and services to market can get projects from idea to launch, helping them unlock the huge potential of generative AI,” says Ayala Ohyon, head of data science at Miro.

Because of its successful history on AWS, Miro pursued using Amazon EKS for a consistent deployment process for generative AI models. Solution | Increasing Scalability Using Amazon EKS and Reducing Time to Market to Weeks

With millions of users, Miro needs to handle variable traffic volume. Using Amazon EKS, Miro can scale as needed to reduce overprovisioning while maintaining low latency, low error rates, and a stable solution. Using the blueprint built on AWS, Miro can set up a generative AI microservice in production in weeks instead of months.

With AWS support, Miro is transforming how teams use AI to bring break-through products to market. Using Miro Assist, users can rapidly expand their thinking, get instant insights for better decision-making, and reduce the time spent on daily tasks. For example, Miro Assist features built on AWS help users quickly uncover valuable insights from research, team retrospectives, or brainstorm sessions. Processes that used to take days now happen in seconds. “We’re breaking new ground with our AI solutions, but this can’t come at the expense of user experience,” says Ohyon. “It’s very helpful to have direct contact with people at AWS who are fluent in the resources and can give advice and assurance that we’re maximizing the full potential of the current technology.”

Using AWS, data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and access to data is controlled through AWS Identity and Access Management (AWS IAM), which securely manages identities and access to AWS services and resources. “Security remains a key consideration for customers on their AI journey,” says Ohyon. “It’s critical that AWS has robust security provision that can flex with our specific needs.”
