Meet the finalists

  • Ambiently
  • Ambiently

Ambiently is the creator of Redemption Earth, an educational adventure game to save the planet from climate catastrophe. It combines an Alexa skill with real-world activities and experiments such as analysing household waste and growing food hydroponically. The goal is to spark curiosity in young people who don’t fit well in mainstream education about how the world works.

The skill sets a story where, in 2065, after two decades of environmental and climate devastation, what remains of humankind is evacuated from Earth. Many years later a rebel group travels back in time to try and change the course of history. Now, in 2020, they're about to be activated. Find out if you’re one of them, gain the STEM and change agent skills you’ll need, and join missions to save the planet.

LEVOOBA (product of k/d media) was created to let children learn together with their school friends—even when they can’t be together. The experienced team of voice architects and didactic specialists developed a tool to help bring the classroom spirit to students' homes.

The LEVOOBA Alexa skill is designed to help students study current school topics in a fun way with friends. No reading or writing is required. Students will learn through voice battles. • Little Bridge
  • Little Bridge

Little Bridge is disrupting English language learning by combining strong, proven, and personalised pedagogical content with a fully-moderated, age-appropriate social community. Language learned through more than 1,000 activities is put into real-world practise, as children connect with each other and make international friends.

The words and phrases that children learn and remember are ones they really want to use. Language in the Study Buddy skill is sourced from the child’s particular learning journey in Little Bridge. Once mastered, it’s stored in their own personal Alexicon (or word bank), which is always available to help them communicate.

  • ZenTeach
  • ZenTeach

ZenTeach helps teachers plan quality lessons. It is built on a powerful mind-mapping technology called a Knowledge Graph, which reorganizes the curriculum from basic principles to increasingly complex ones. This enables teachers to construct quality lessons in minutes.

Quizzes are a powerful tool that help students figure out how to improve. However, setting them up is time consuming for teachers. With the question database, teachers can generate custom quizzes in minutes. The ZenTeach Alexa integration allows teachers to build quizzes quickly without a device. In the future, teachers will also be able to create lesson plans and homework with Alexa.
