Most accurate speech to text API
What do you like best about the product?
I've tested many stt api's (Google/AWS/IBM) to transcribe audio/video files and AssemblyAI consistently wins on accuracy (lowest WER on our audio files).
They also worked with us to get pricing much lower than other api's, and cut our bill from AWS by 50%. Highly recommend for other devs looking for a really simple api/high accuracy.

What do you dislike about the product?
Along with the rest of the speech recognition industry, there is still a ways to go to get to human level accuracy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accurate transcription of phone calls and recordings and video interviews.
Great API for speech recognition, really easy to implement
What do you like best about the product?
We tried a lot of APIs and found AssemblyAI to be the most accurate. The word boost feature helped us transcribe our product names a lot more accurately, and was really easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be nice if they supported French language, but they have told us this is coming soon.

With AssemblyAI we are able to transcribe our customer support phone calls for quality assurance and review.

An incredibly accurate and fast speech-to-text API, with great customer service
What do you like best about the product?
The speed, accuracy, and ease-of-use -- as well as their wonderful customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. It is highly flexible, so there is nothing to really complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transcribing bad interview audio into text, which allows me to quickly review quotes.
Great product and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Their API is very simple to use and their results are fantastic. They provide webhooks for completed jobs and their real-time transcription feature is very useful for allowing data entry on mobile devices without the need for lots and lots of typing. I very much look forward to continuing to take advantage of this company's great product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there is really nothing that I dislike about their service. It could be nice to see the ability to submit videos for speech to text processing, but I don't consider it a downside because it's so simple to create audio files from the videos in our cloud and submit those.

We use AssemblyAI to create searchable audio and video archives. This allows people to more effectively use large media archives to locate information they are seeking.

I will absolutely keep using AssemblyAI for my STT needs. Definitely give these guys a try.
Easy, Accurate Transcription Service
What do you like best about the product?
AssemblyAI's API is fast, accurate, and easy to use compared to the others I've tried. The team is quick and helpful with support when you need it.
What do you dislike about the product?
None that I can think of. I use Assembly for multiple projects and will continue to do so in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AssemblyAI allows the customers of my company, Mindstamp.io, to have their voice notes transcribed quickly and accurately, making their videos searchable and scannable at a glance.

Highest Quality Speech to Text Service!
What do you like best about the product?
We have used many speech recognition services, and Assembly outperforms them all. Assembly provides the most accurate transcriptions and speaker recognition, from a variety of audio qualities and a myriad of accents. We are able to precisely measure the text quality via internal metrics of how our users interact with and manipulate the audio's text.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be cheaper, but you pay for what you get. The quality of the speech to text is worth every penny.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use speech to text to display audio transcripts for our users for interact with. The quality of the API allows us to quickly move audio-text through our system's many processes.
Great ASR API, even better customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Solid transcription accuracy (we tested a number of competitors and they were the best) with great customer service. Dylan and team go above and beyond.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't specific to Assembly AI, but transcription accuracy in general (especially with the audio quality of phone calls) can be hit or miss. It just comes with the territory. However, we have been really impressed with how frequently Assembly AI pushes accuracy updates to its models.

Assembly AI transcribes our customers phone calls. Without a solid and reliable ASR vendor, we don't have a product to sell.
