AWS Training and Certification and AWS Enterprise Strategists have developed a collection of digital training to provide a high-level picture of the benefits of cloud computing to c-suite leaders and executives in business or technology roles. These short, snackable videos feature AWS Enterprise Strategists Jake Burns, Chris Hennessy, and Clarke Rodgers guiding leaders through the must-know information to build their business with cloud.

The cloud security landscape is constantly evolving, and organizations need to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and threats. As such, individuals with security knowledge are in high demand – from entry level to advanced professionals. This blog shares different roles in cybersecurity and training and certification resources to upskill and differentiate yourself in the cybersecurity job market.

In May and June 2023, we released 5 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including a sustainability course, a new AWS Builder Lab to configure VPC Traffic Monitoring, an updated AWS Certified Security – Specialty Official Practice Exam, and AWS Cloud Quest Tournaments. I joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Solutions Architect in September 2022 after skilling up in AWS Cloud, validating my expertise by earning six AWS Certifications. I decided to pursue the other six certifications, at the specialty level. In this blog post, I’ll share my journey to prepare for and earn the AWS Specialty Certifications, each on the first attempt.

In April 2023, we released 15 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including AWS Jam Journey: Security re:Invent and a new AWS Builder Lab for AWS Skill Builder subscribers, and three learning plans (with digital badges) for cloud essentials, Media and Entertainment, and Amazon Connect. We are updating the AWS Certified Security – Specialty exam, and learners who complete all 12 assignments in AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner can earn a 25% off exam voucher for AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.

In March 2023, AWS Training and Certification released 27 digital products including 14 AWS Builder Labs, an AWS Jam Journey (analytics), two courses for AWS Partners, three courses for c-suite leaders, and a classroom course on AWS security best practices. Exam labs have been temporarily removed from the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate exam. To help organizations scale skill-building with their teams, AWS Skill Builder Team subscription is now available in 50 countries.

AWS Training and Certification courses and offerings in December 2022 include AWS Industry Quest: Financial Services, a fourth learning path for AWS Jam Journey, a sixth role for AWS Cloud Quest, and 13 AWS Builder Labs. There are seven, free, fundamental-level digital courses; two classroom courses about planning and managing databases on AWS and Amazon SageMaker Studio; two AWS Partner courses about security essentials and AWS GovCloud (US); and an AWS Certification update about the availability of online Mandarin-speaking proctors in Mainland China.
