Empowering 1,000-plus partners: How the AWS Think Big for Small Business Program fuels public sector innovation
In March 2021, Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched the Think Big for Small Business (TBSB) Program, which provides partners with access to financial incentives and additional visibility with customers and the AWS team. Since the program launched, it has supported 1,000-plus partners from 73 countries across the globe. In this post, we explore the pivotal role that the TBSB program plays in accelerating the growth of small business partners that serve public sector customers.
Helping micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises make economic and societal impacts with cloud technologies
AWS released a report that examines the potential benefits of moving to the cloud for micro, small, and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs) addressing societal issues. Conducted by Accenture, the “Realizing a Cloud-enabled Economy: How Cloud Drives Economic and Societal Impact through Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Businesses” report reveals that MSMEs in the healthcare, education, and agriculture sectors are expected to unlock up to US$161B in annual productivity gains and support 95.8 million jobs by 2030, equivalent to 8% of the total employment on average across the 12 countries studied.
How the Think Big for Small Business program helps small businesses win big contracts
The Think Big for Small Business (TBSB) program provides AWS Partners with access to AWS Partner Programs, financial incentives, and additional visibility with customers and AWS teams. Since March 2021, more than 500 partners from 41 countries have participated in the TBSB program, and have launched more than 1,200 opportunities with public sector customers. Learn how four TBSB partners supported public sector customers through their digital transformation in the TBSB program.

My favorite part of re:Invent, this year and every year, is the opportunity it provides to hear directly from AWS Partners and customers. As always, I’m impressed by the value that partners are delivering for customers, and I’m encouraged at the opportunities ahead of us to continue innovating, simplifying, and delivering results. Top announcements from the AWS Public Sector Partners leadership session at re:Invent 2021
During the 10th anniversary of re:Invent, I was thrilled to share announcements and achievements from AWS Partners and programs for the public sector around the world. Since its launch, AWS’s Public Sector Partner Program participation has increased by an average of 54% year over year, with partners providing solutions in mission areas across healthcare, space, energy, transportation, government, education, and nonprofit. In both the Global Partners Summit keynote at re:Invent 2021, as well as in my public sector leadership session, I highlighted the new and upcoming AWS Partner solutions and accomplishments.

Diversity matters. Governments, countries, cities, agencies, and more recognize the value that diversity brings. With this in mind, I am thrilled to announce the global launch of the Think Big for Small Business Program.
