The AWS Podcast released an episode discussing three AWS Quick Starts. The AWS Government, Education, & Nonprofits Blog wrote about AWS Public Sector Month in Review – October. The AWS DevOps Blog talked about End-to-End Continuous Delivery and Deployment Pipelines in AWS and TeamCity. The AWS Database Blog showed you how to Implement an Early Warning System for Transaction ID Wraparound in Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL. The A Cloud Guru blog wrote about Amazon Alexa Analytics. cloudonaut.io wrote about WordPress on AWS: Smooth and Pain Free. Adam Johnson wrote about the parody service AWS H3 (the Highly Hospitable Hotel). Simon Hanmer wrote about running a local DynamoDB instance for development. Tuesday November 1	We launched the New Amazon Linux Container Image for Cloud and On-Premises Workloads. We launched the Product Support Connection for AWS Marketplace Customers. We made an Amazon CloudWatch Update, with Extended Metrics Retention & A User Interface Update. We published a Quick Start Reference Deployment for Swift Applications on the AWS Cloud. The AWS Government, Education, & Nonprofits Blog wrote about Your Questions Answered: The Internet of Things in Government. The AWS DevOps Blog described Building a Cross-Regions/Cross-Account Code Deployment on AWS. The AWS DevOps Blog journeyed From ELK Stack to EKK: Aggregating and Analyzing Apache Logs with Amazon Elasticsearch Service, Amazon Kinesis, and Kibana. The AWS Enterprise Blog published a three-part series on application migration to the cloud: Considering a Mass Migration to the Cloud? We announced that AWS Directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory (Enterprise Edition) is now available in the US East (Ohio) Region. We announced that Amazon CloudWatch Events is now available in the China (Beijing) AWS region. The AWS Partner Network Blog talked about Building Your Data Lake on AWS. The AWS Startup Collection encouraged you to Enter the @awsstartups Follower Appreciation Giveaway. Serverless released V1.1.0 of the Serverless Framework to help you build applications with AWS and Lambda. The Concurrency Labs Blog wrote about How to prepare an AWS Service Assessment. Ylastic announced Cross-Account Replication for EBS Volumes.
Thursday November 3	We made a CloudFormation Update to let you Build Continuous Delivery Workflows for CloudFormation Stacks. We announced that you can Run Real-time Stream Processing at Scale with Apache Flink on Amazon EMR. We announced the Amazon Lumberyard 1.6 Beta, including Twitch Metastream. We announced that you can now Backup to AWS with HP Data Protector 9.07 using Storage Gateway VTL. The AWS Government, Education, & Nonprofits Blog wrote about From Passion to Scale: Bringing People to the Polls with the Carpool2Vote App. The AWS Partner Network Blog explained how CrowdTangle Built a SaaS Solution on AWS. Bespoken Tools shared tutorials on running and debugging Node.js and Python Lambdas locally. Friday November 4	We published an MLB Statcast video featuring David Ortiz, Joe Torre, and Dave O’Brien. The Amazon Mobile App Distribution Blog introduced the Fire App Builder for Amazon Fire TV. Kim Schmidt published a new blog post Update on Amazon Aurora’s Deep Dive Section 2.0 Series: Amazon Aurora’s Unique Architecture. N2WS explained How to Automate Cross AWS Region Backup Considering RTO and RPO.
Saturday November 5	The AWS Compute Blog showed you how to do Simple Ad Hoc Data Processing with Serverless MapReduce. Scott Johnson wrote about attack surfaces and protecting your Rails app in an unfriendly cloud environment. Kim Schmidt published a new blog post Amazon Web Services Financials, Magic Quadrant Facts, and How AWS Started. Powerupcloud showed you how to Automate Enabling of S3 Logging to All Buckets Using Node.js.
Sunday November 6	Scott Johnson wrote a simple tutorial about making your EC2 instances pingable protecting your Rails app Kim Schmidt published Amazon Aurora’s Architecture Video 2.7: Understanding Amazon Aurora’s Fault Tolerance and Restoration Architectures. aws-maintenance-lambda – A lambda function to send alerts (to Slack) on AWS maintenance events. While the email from AWS includes only the instance id, the alert will include the Name of the instance and owner (team or individual on Slack) from the appropriate tags. It is an open source project licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Brian Beach shared an AWS Linked Account Template.

AWS IoT Embedded C ESP32 Port is a port of the AWS IoT embedded C SDK to the ESP32 platform.

Apposphere – Using AWS and bitfusion.io from the AWS Marketplace, Apposphere can scale 50 to 60 percent month-over-month while keeping customer satisfaction high. Based in Austin, Texas, the Apposphere mobile app delivers real-time leads from social media channels.
CADFEM – CADFEM uses AWS to make complex simulation software more accessible to smaller engineering firms, helping them compete with much larger ones. The firm specializes in simulation software and services for the engineering industry.
Mambu – Using AWS, Mambu helped one of its customers launch the United Kingdom’s first cloud-based bank, and the company is now on track for tenfold growth, giving it a competitive edge in the fast-growing fintech sector. Mambu is an all-in-one SaaS banking platform for managing credit and deposit products quickly, simply, and affordably.
Okta – Okta uses AWS to get new services into production in days instead of weeks. Okta creates products that use identity information to grant people access to applications on multiple devices at any time, while still enforcing strong security protections.

Rent-a-Center – Rent-a-Center is a leading renter of furniture, appliances, and electronics to customers in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Rent-A-Center uses AWS to manage its new e-commerce website, scale to support a 1,000 percent spike in site traffic, and enable a DevOps approach.
UK Ministry of Justice – By going all in on the AWS Cloud, the UK Ministry of Justice (MoJ) can use technology to enhance the effectiveness and fairness of the services it provides to British citizens. The MoJ is a ministerial department of the UK government. MoJ had its own on-premises data center, but lacked the ability to change and adapt rapidly to the needs of its citizens. As it created more digital services, MoJ turned to AWS to automate, consolidate, and deliver constituent services.
