Scene and Ad Break Detection
The ADVisor project, developed by Fincons Group for Mediaset, demonstrates the application of AI technologies to video content in order to streamline workflows and create new monetization opportunities, both in linear and OTT scenarios. This third party solution automates and provides insights supporting typical day-to-day video management processes in a broadcasting environment, creating a competitive advantage for Mediaset. ADVisor builds on top of Guidance for Media2Cloud on AWS, automating and streamlining tasks such as the automatic identification of suitable points within videos for inserting advertising breaks, reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency. Moreover, ADVisor facilitates content discovery based on metadata collection and comprehensive tagging, and extends content monetization opportunities, enabling contextual advertising.
