AWS Local Zones are a type of AWS infrastructure deployment that places AWS compute, storage, database, and other select services close to large population, industry, and IT centers. With AWS Local Zones, you can easily run applications that need single-digit millisecond latency closer to end-users in a specific geography. AWS Local Zones are ideal for use cases such as media & entertainment content creation, real-time gaming, live video streaming, and machine learning inference.

AWS Local Zones are an extension of an AWS Region where you can run your latency-sensitive applications using AWS services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud, Amazon Elastic Block Store, Amazon FSx, Amazon Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon EMRAmazon ElastiCacheAmazon Elastic Kubernetes ServiceAmazon Elastic Container Service, and Amazon Relational Database Service in geographic proximity to end-users. AWS Local Zones provide a high-bandwidth, secure connection between local workloads and those running in the AWS Region, allowing you to seamlessly connect back to your other workloads running in the Region and to the full range of in-region services through the same APIs and tool sets.

AWS Local Zones are managed and supported by AWS, bringing you all of the elasticity, scalability, and security benefits of the cloud. You can easily build and deploy latency-sensitive applications closer to your end-users using AWS services, scale up or scale down, and pay only for the resources that you use, giving you a consistent AWS experience.

JackTrip Labs

JackTrip Labs combines the latest digital audio and edge computing technologies to make the performance of music over the Internet feasible and accessible to everyone. JackTrip Labs was spun out as an independent public-benefit corporation from the JackTrip Foundation, a collaboration between Stanford University’s Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) and Silicon Valley software entrepreneurs.

Netflix is the world's leading streaming entertainment service with over 190 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, documentaries, and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages.
