Amazon Polly is a service that turns text into lifelike speech and enables you to build entirely new categories of speech-enabled products by adding a voice. Starting today, Amazon Polly is available in AWS China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD.
Customers can choose from 57 Polly voices across 28 languages. We announced Zhiyu, the first Mandarin Chinese voice earlier this month. You can check out the full list in the Voices in Amazon Polly section of the documentation.
To get started, you would need an AWS (China) account. You can request an AWS (China) account by completing this form. Once you have an account, log in to the AWS Management Console to try the service with your own text.
