Amazon FSx for Windows File Server, a service that provides fully managed native Microsoft Windows file systems, now enables you to use a single AWS Managed Active Directory (AD) with file systems across Amazon Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) or AWS accounts.

With this new feature, you can now use a single AWS Managed AD with file systems across VPCs via VPC Peering or Transit Gateway, or across accounts via directory sharing. This feature makes it simpler and more cost-effective for you to deploy workloads that span multiple VPCs or accounts.

Support for AWS Managed AD across VPCs and accounts is now available at no additional cost for all new file systems in all regions where Amazon FSx is available. To learn more about Amazon FSx for Windows File Server visit here. To learn more about this new feature visit here.
