Amazon MQ now offers Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 validated endpoints in US commercial regions to protect sensitive information. These endpoints terminate Transport Layer Security (TLS) sessions using a FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic software module, enabling you to use Amazon MQ for certain regulated workloads.
To use this new capability, choose the FIPS endpoint option when creating your Amazon MQ broker. FIPS 140-2 validated endpoints for Amazon MQ are available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), and US West (Oregon). You can learn more by reading the Amazon MQ Developer Guide or see the FIPS Endpoints page.
