Customers can now use Amazon CloudWatch Synthetics to monitor their private endpoints that run in a virtual private cloud (VPC). Microservices, APIs, or internal web tools inside a private network often power customer-facing websites and applications. Further, there are several critical internal applications such as for accounting, collaboration tools, corporate email, and payroll that have a direct impact on increased productivity for your organization. Continuously monitoring both internal and external endpoints using synthetic monitoring is vital to ensure smooth operations on a consistent basis.
CloudWatch Synthetics supports monitoring your endpoints every minute, 24x7, and alerts you when your application endpoints don’t behave as expected. CloudWatch Synthetics supports monitoring of your REST APIs, URLs, and website content, checking for unauthorized changes from phishing, code injection and cross-site scripting.
Amazon CloudWatch Synthetics is available in the following public AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), EU (Ireland), US West (Oregon), US West (N. California), EU (Frankfurt), EU (London), EU (Paris), EU (Stockholm), Canada (Central), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), and South America (Sao Paulo).
