Amazon Connect adds inbound telephony for four Latin America countries

Posted on: Dec 4, 2020

Amazon Connect now supports claiming local toll-free and direct inward dial phone numbers in four new Latin American countries in the US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) regions. These new local telephony services support customers in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Peru.

An Amazon Connect customer at a Global BTB IT Services Company recently said, “We have a significant customer base and operations team based in the LATAM region, and the availability of local phone numbers there is something that helps drive our migration strategy. We appreciate the opportunity to participate in the preview program for the new service and look forward to using it in production as soon as possible.”

To get started, you can claim a phone number on the Phone Numbers page in Amazon Connect; see Claiming Phone Numbers in the Amazon Connect User Guide for more details. Phone numbers are available in the US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) regions. There is no additional charge beyond standard pricing for Amazon Connect service usage and associated telephony rates. To learn more about Amazon Connect, please visit the Amazon Connect website.
