Today, we are excited to announce that Amazon CodeWhisperer is available in Amazon EMR Studio. You can use Amazon CodeWhisperer with no additional charge to generate real-time code suggestions in Amazon EMR Studio notebooks. CodeWhisperer can generate code suggestions ranging from snippets to full functions in real time based on your prompts and existing code.
EMR Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE) that makes it easy for data scientists and data engineers to develop, visualize, and debug big data and analytics applications written in PySpark, Python, Scala, and R. With the CodeWhisperer integration, you will be able to quickly develop code to accelerate data preparation for analytics and machine learning. While you write code in Python or simply type words in English within EMR Studio notebooks, CodeWhisperer provides you with recommendations in real time. Notebook users can quickly accept the top suggestion, view more suggestions, or continue writing their own code.
This feature is now available in the US East (N. Virginia, Ohio), US West (N. California, Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Osaka), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt, Ireland, London, Paris, Stockholm, Milan), South America (São Paulo), Middle East (Bahrain, UAE), Africa (Cape Town) Regions.
