Today, we are excited to announce that customers using IAM Identity Center as their authentication method in SageMaker Studio can now fully automate setup of Studio user profiles using SageMaker and IdC APIs.
To set up user profiles on SageMaker Studio using IAM Identity Center (IdC) for authentication, customers need to create users and groups in IdC and then grant them access to the Studio application. Previously, customers had to manually associate IdC users and groups to the Studio application through the SageMaker console, which made automating Studio user profile setup difficult. Starting today, customers can use IdC and SageMaker APIs to associate IdC groups or users to SageMaker Studio. This launch simplifies the process of setting up new Studio user profiles for administrators by enabling them to fully automate it.
This feature is available in all Amazon Web Services Commercial regions where Amazon SageMaker Studio is currently available. To learn more, see this blog.
