Amazon Web Services (AWS) does not currently enable Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) natively on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) or Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS). FlashGrid, a third-party provider of storage software solutions, has developed a solution that allows customers to run Oracle RAC on AWS using AWS-native components, such as Amazon EC2, Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS), and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC). For more information on this solution, please read FlashGrid's whitepaper, Mission-Critical Databases in the Cloud: Oracle RAC on Amazon EC2 Enabled by FlashGrid® Software.

AWS supports the AWS infrastructure components on which FlashGrid's solution relies. For questions about FlashGrid software and support capabilities, please see the FlashGrid website at or email them at
