Gerardo is a Security Solutions Architect and AWS Security Black Belt for his work at Caleidos. He claims to be a Cloud Security fan. He likes to write technical posts and talk about cybersecurity on Medium. In addition, he builds and leads videos, podcasts, online classes, and workshops focused on AWS. With his advice, he has inspired many people to start and grow his career in the cloud.
He believes that with great power comes great responsibility, and therefore his mission for the past few years has been to share his security knowledge and experience with users in AWS communities in the region. Some of the most outstanding examples are the Cybersecurity Bootcamp and the Security Days, which are community-driven events organized in some countries such as Argentina, Peru, and Chile, and more to come for other Spanish-speaking countries.
Gera was an AWS Community Builder for Security & Identity from 2020 to 2023, and is a community leader of the AWS UG Security Community in Latin America since 2020.
