Guillermo Fisher is the Head of Engineering at Untapped — a diversity recruiting platform that helps organizations build diverse teams without all of the guesswork. He currently leads teams of engineers that focus on infrastructure, site reliability, QA, and application tracking system integrations.
Guillermo founded 757ColorCoded, an organization that exists to educate and empower local people of color to achieve careers in technology and improve their lives. Through 757ColorCoded, he has been able to provide, among other things, cloud and data analytics training to the Hampton Roads area in the form of meetup presentations and workshop sessions. In 2019, he partnered with We Power Tech to offer free, instructor-led AWS Tech Essentials training to Southeastern Virginia.
As an advocate of AWS technologies, Guillermo blogs about services like Lambda, Athena, and DynamoDB on Medium. He also shares his knowledge at events such as the Atlanta AWS Summit, Hampton Roads DevFest, RevolutionConf, and re:Invent. He is a participant in the Hampton Roads AWS User Group, and is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate.
