Since joining the Japanese AWS User Group (JAWS-UG) in 2014, Hiromi has been actively involved in creating a women’s group, managing JAWS-UG, and supporting regional communities. She was named an AWS Samurai in 2017 and organized major events like JAWS DAYS 2018.
From 2016, Hiromi expanded her activities globally, participating in joint study sessions with overseas AWS user groups and APAC Community Leader Meetups. In 2019, she launched the AWS Asian Women's Association to host conferences and meetups in Asia. That same year, she received the AWS re:Invent Community Leader Diversity Grant, furthering her efforts to expand AWS community engagement worldwide.
In 2024, Hiromi founded the AWS Global Community, a platform for fostering diversity and inclusion, where everyone is encouraged to participate and speak. She organizes regular study sessions to support this vision and remains committed to advancing global collaboration and knowledge sharing.
