Ilanchezhian Ganesamurthy

Ilanchezhian Ganesamurthy (Ilan) is a seasoned technologist with over two decades of experience in the software industry. He is currently the Director - Generative AI (GenAI) and Conversational AI (CAI) at Tietoevry, a leading Nordic IT services company. Ilan has strong expertise in deep tech (including AI/ML, NLP, VoiceTech, GenAI), DevOps, and multi-cloud technologies, particularly focused on AWS Cognitive technologies, AWS Cloud Architecture, DevOps. He has architected and developed solutions for a wide range of organizations, from startups to enterprise customers and Fortune 100 companies. He has been involved in deep tech and cloud for over 10 years and is now focused on building responsible GenAI and Intelligent Apps. Previously, Ilan spent 12 years at Hewlett-Packard, contributing to various products. He is one of only three ‘Alexa Champions’ in India.

Ilan was a former AWS Community Builder, and has been associated with AWS User Group India since 2015, and has been co-organizer of the AWS User Group Chennai since 2018, helping to grow the AWS UG Chennai to over 4,800 members. He frequently organizes meetups, speaks at many cloud conferences, and academic institutions, conducts workshops, and writes blogs. He played a pivotal role in organizing AWS Community Day Chennai. He also facilitates partnerships between AWS UG Chennai and various technology communities in Chennai, including collaborating with IIT Madras Research (IITMR) on their Young Tech Leader Program.

Ilan is a strong advocate for diversity, inclusion, and academic collaboration. He is a strong supporter of AWS Cloud Clubs, he works closely with them in Chennai, fostering industry connections and helping them organize events. He has also mentored NASSCOM's W2RT program (Cloud and AI/ML) under their DNI initiative multiple times.

As an AWS expert and community leader, Ilan motivates technologists and students to deepen their AWS knowledge and contribute to community building.
