Martijn is an experienced, hands-on AWS Cloud Architect, currently working as Cloud Evangelist at Schuberg Philis in The Netherlands. He is an active consultant and technical instructor who guides customers in their cloud journey by delivering guidance, hands-on workshops, and technology fast-tracks. He is a generalist in a broad set of AWS services, with a strong focus on security, containers, serverless, and data-intensive platforms.
Martijn regularly writes technical articles, and speaks at meetups, events, and technical conferences such as AWS re:Invent. Martijn is founder and chair of the Dutch AWS User Group: awsug.nl. He organizes approximately 20 meetups per year with an average of 100 attendees and has built an enthusiastic network of speakers and sponsors. Martijn organized the first AWS Community Days in The Netherlands, with speakers like Werner Vogels, Corey Quinn, Jeff Barr, and many Dutch industry leaders and executives.
