Steve Teo

Steve works at Horangi Cyber Security, an Amazon Partner Network (APN) Technology Partner. At Horangi, he is building a Cloud Security SaaS to help AWS customers understand, assess, and eliminate risks in their infrastructure.

He has been serving the AWS User Group Singapore Community since 2017. The user group was founded in 2014 and now has over 5000 members. Having benefited and built his career through meetups at the start of his career, he makes it his personal mission to pay it forward and build the community so that others might reap the benefits and contribute back to the community. The community in Singapore has since grown to have regularly monthly meetups and now includes an Enterprise User Group sub-chapter. He is also on the advisory board of Cloud Seeders, a cloud-learning community for beginners, with an objective to bring more women and diverse talents to the cloud ecosystem.

He is passionate about his pet topics such as Multi-Account Strategy and Cloud Security and often serves as a speaker in AWS APAC Community Conferences on these subjects, where he shares his slides on his Speakerdeck.

One fun fact about Steve is that he successfully defended Unicorn Rentals in his first ever AWS Gameday with an awesome team back in re:Invent 2018 and won the coveted Unicorn trophy!
