Posted on: Jun 20, 2014

Announcing the launch of a new category within AWS Marketplace specifically dedicated to solutions that address the needs of the Education and Research industry sectors. Leaders at Higher Education Institutions and K12 schools and districts can now browse, search and launch software products that are focused on the specific needs of today's students, instructors, researchers and school-administrative staff. Education customers can take advantage of the ease of use and flexibility that the AWS Marketplace offers when launching applications such as 1-click deployments with no procurement of hardware or complicated software installation.

The Education and Research category launched with a number of high-value products including two leading Learning Management Systems - Canvas and Moodle, three virtual labs - MIMIC Virtual Lab, Cloud vLab and MATLAB/Simulink, and video-collaboration and conferencing tools - Adobe Connect, Zoom Cloud Meetings and Collaaj. Moving forward, many more products will be added to create a diverse set of learning tools, research platforms and information systems essential to the modern online learning environment.
